The National Citizens Service runs in London and offers children, aged 15-17, the chance to try something new.
The programme comes in three parts and aims to help teenagers build confidence and independence whilst also being a great addition to CV’s and university applications. All activities run during the school holidays and each part offers something slightly different, for example:
Part 1 is usually residential and will involve getting active. Outdoor activities like abseiling, kayaking, hiking, rock-climbing and more will be offered.
Part 2 is about getting involved and will give young people the chance to learn a new skill that can help them improve employability.
Part 3 is about making your mark and will involve working with a local charity or community group.
The courses are always around £50 and financial support can be given. To find out more click here.
